This innovative retail company based in Leicester is looking to add a brand new role to its existing creative team. As the Graphic Designer, you will be supporting the design function across the group of companies, whilst being part of a wider creative team, so there is a great amount of variety in this role and with the growth of their design team, it is a great opportunity to join them whilst they expand.
Our client works within the retail space, both B2C and B2B, and a new role has opened up to work across a number of companies in the group, designing predominantly in the B2B marketplace, but also being involved with some of the consumer-led work. You will work on creating designs across the whole marketing suite, being briefed and coming up with ideas from a blank piece of paper, and also being pro-active in helping the team come up with the actual solution to a problem for their clients as well as then designing supporting material to be able to deliver this solution to their clients, many of which are large retailers.
You will ideally have around 2-5 years’ experience of working as a Graphic Designer, either in-house or in an agency, where you will have designed original ideas across a wide range of media, including literature, brochures, posters, tender packs, digital, social and possibly packaging. You will have the ability to take your designs through to print-ready artwork and have the ability to produce mock-ups, mood boards and presentation boards for internal and external presentation.
With an inquisitive mind and a pro-active nature, you will be able to work both on your own steam and also collaboratively with the team on larger projects. You will ideally have strong written skills, possibly enjoy copywriting and be able to come up with ideas that solve problems and create beautifully crafted designs using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Mac-based). Whilst the role is to support the B2B function, there is the ability and option to work on packaging designs within the wider team, so an interest in packaging or experience in packaging design is useful, but not essential.
A full job spec is available, so please do send your CV and portfolio if you are interested in this role and we can take it from there!
