Additional support for candidates

At Beyond The Book, we also offer tailored additional services, including personal career coaching, workshops, events and bespoke CV and portfolio advice. These are paid for services*, designed around your needs, and very much more in-depth than the support you will receive when applying for one of our roles.
We will, of course, always give advice to candidates as part of our recruitment process, when they have applied for a role or are interested in registering with us. We also have continually updated content on our Insights/Advice page, and we are also planning to launch a series of free webinars.

Career coaching

Whether you are looking to go freelance, make more of your freelance career, or want to ensure your search for permanent employment is focused and successful, we can put you in touch with the relevant Beyond The Book consultant to organise a session.
"A one-to-one session with Anna was a good investment for uncertain times. She offered clear, intelligent, relevant, up-to-the-minute advice and ideas. She pinpointed what I wanted to do and how to get there, listening all the way. Emerged re-energised - the Joe Wicks of careers advice!" Amanda, Content Specialist, Warwickshire

Bespoke CV and/or profile advice

We can use our wealth of experience, specifically our Creative, Digital, PR and Marketing experience to offer free advice for candidates that are in demand, but we also offer bespoke, tailored, one-to-one coaching sessions on your CV and/or portfolio (choice, layout and presentation) to anyone who needs help. *These are chargeable sessions, and we can provide a quote once we ascertain your needs.

Events and workshops

We are planning on attending and running various workshops, seminars and events, to support job seekers in their career journey. We presented at the Cheltenham Design Festival, helping graduates to understand the industry and how to approach their job search, and held a webinar about the IR35 changes that came into effect in April 2021. We plan to hold a 'how to kick off your freelance career workshop' and have also started to design a graduate careers event.
We will publish these as and when they are designed and organised, but we'd also love to hear ideas from anyone, on subjects that could work in small, or large groups.

Online advice

We publish advice for job seekers regularly on our website and we have a back library of advice that is still relevant today. Everything from CV writing tips, current marketing information, our salary survey, and more. Please do take advantage of these, and should you have any ideas or advice you would like us to publish, please email us. To access all of our advice pages, please go to our Insights/Advice.
