BTB's recent appointments - May 2016

For companies looking for a fresh recruiter to work with, and for job seekers looking for a brand new role, we thought it would be helpful for you to see the typical candidates we have been placing recently. We work with rigour and passion to ensure the fit is absolutely right and couldn’t be happier that all of our recent placements have long term legs!!

Account Manager – East Mids

A leading retail design agency was looking for an Account Manager, but not just any Account Manager! We had to be discerning and find someone with the relevant sector experience, the dedicated agency experience, and the confidence to fly on their own on highly demanding business. We reacted immediately with the one perfect candidate.

Junior Artworker – West Mids

This well established and successful construction brand wanted a Junior Artworker to join them. It’s quite a challenge to find juniors who would be happy with a pure artworking role as the pond to fish in is essentially graduate Graphic Designers! However, fish we did, and we found a design grad with commercial studio experience who had already decided that their strength was far more on the technical end that the creative end. Client and candidate super happy!

Relationship Developer Manager - Warks

This Warwickshire charity was looking for a senior level Relationship Manager to forge links with partners and organisations. It was a specialist role that was unique to this organisation. We found someone with a beautiful blend of commercial business development and relationship building experience.

Senior Designer – West Mids

This growing, brand-led agency was looking for a brand-led Designer with a genuine passion for the sector they operate in. There are plenty of good Graphic Designers out there but all very different in their approach, style, sector experience and personality! We placed someone who not only had the sector experience, but lived and breathed it in their daily life. The perfect job for the candidate and the perfect fit for our client.

Freelance Project Manager - Oxon

This global business needed our help and they had a budget for one role with an impressive list of skills that would actually require 4 people! After some consultation, we agreed on the priority role and advised that freelance initially would give the breathing space to further refine the permanent role. We don’t chase perm placements here - we advise on the best solution first and foremost!

Digital Marketing Executive - Warks

We were tasked with finding this digital marketing agency a Digital Account Executive, but not your traditional kind! We took on the search for someone who had hands on digital marketing experience (SEO, PPC, Display, Social, etc.), coupled with client servicing experience. We needed someone who would relish wearing both ‘hats’. With clarity and focus we placed this role quickly and it's all going very well indeed.

Junior Art Director – West Mids

A busy creative team, within an integrated agency, called us in to meet them. They were looking for a junior ‘Creative’ to input fresh ideas into the agency. Do these candidates exist anymore when every junior appears to be trained and in a design role? We agreed that it is slim pickings, but with our proactive approach to attracting candidates we already knew someone! Someone who had come off an advertising degree and found themselves in a design role but bursting to be in an Art Director role. Both parties couldn’t be happier!
