Reporting directly to the E-commerce Director and responsible for 8 direct reports, this senior level role will oversee trading product categories, product launches, product information management and visual merchandising.
Covering the trading on all channels, the E-commerce Trading Manager will focus on improving sales to budget, pushing through key initiatives to ensure KPI's are being addressed, and ensuring the channels are seeing strong growth over time.
Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for delivering sales across all e-commerce channels to budget
- Present updates on any trading developments in weekly trade review meetings
- Manage the department to ensure products are launched in a timely manner, product information is regularly improved to increase conversion, visual merchandising is completed promptly, shopping behaviour is continually analysed and acted upon
- Creating an executing marketing and trading initiatives to improve sales and conversion
- Suggest improvements to the shopping journey
- Keeping up to date with competitor activity
We're looking for a someone with genuine commercial acumen and a passion for e-commerce. You'll ideally be doing a similar role within a retail/e-commerce environment at the moment, and you'll have demonstrable experience in managing marketplace channels (Ebay, Amazon, etc.).
As you'll be responsible for 8 direct reports, previous experience of managing and running effective teams of website traders or analytical visual merchandisers will be vital. You should be able to draw on your strong management, communication and problem-solving skills to get the very best out of these teams too!
You'll ideally have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, although if you can show real tenacity and knowledge of e-commerce trading with slightly less experience, we'd still love to hear from you.
