This exciting, new and broad E-commerce and Online Marketing Manager role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to lead the way when it comes to trading and interacting with customers online. So, if you’re looking for a role that’s a real mix of online trading, merchandising and marketing then please read on…
Our client is a well-known household name, and this role focuses within a niche area of the business, which is relatively new to e-commerce and multi-channel trading, which means this role is yours to truly own and make your mark with.
Based just outside of Rugby and easy to get to from Northamptonshire and Warwickshire, the growing Multichannel department is now looking for an experienced E-commerce and Online Marketing Manager to really drive this offering forward.
This broad, and exciting E-commerce Marketing Manager role reports directly in to the Head of E-commerce and is centred around optimising the online customer journey to maximise revenue and data capture opportunities. You’ll also be heavily involved with the overall interaction with customers across both the site and all digital touch points including email, PPC and social.
In this cross-functional role, you’ll be responsible for implementing the e-commerce strategy via a detailed trading plan, whilst totally understanding, owning and improving the online customer journey - from acquisition through to final transaction.
Your main duties will include:
- Promotion Management (all activity will need to be engaging and drive sales, online engagement and brand awareness. An ability to interpret and report on online activity via Google Analytics will also be vital)
- Lead Gen & Website Improvement (analyse SEM results, site abandonment and user journey to improve customer experience and maximise revenue. Full testing and monitoring, recommend improvements)
- CRM & Email (formulate and deliver the digital marketing strategy for customer acquisition. Measure campaigns to maximise conversion and retention rates)
- Content, SEO, Social and Paid (ensure content across website and digital touch points represents the corporate voice and values, work closely with the marketing teams to define and understand the brand, ensure the social media strategy supports marketing and business plans)
This role really needs someone who understands and excels in multichannel retail and how to maximise every online opportunity, from initial customer acquisition (through email, social, paid and SEO) to clear and easy conversion. A solid understanding of UX, CRO and data capture will be key in this role.
Being that multichannel is still relatively new to this already well-established organisation, you’ll be naturally engaging and informative when talking to key stakeholders about site improvements, and you’ll make it your business to understand the customers (prospects and existing).
You won’t be shy of change, if anything you revel in change, challenges and solutions. You’ll need a commercial head on your shoulders in order to constantly strive for an improved online experience for customers (ideally resulting in increased revenue).
You’ll ideally come with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, or at least within an E-commerce or multichannel environment. For a full job spec and a friendly chat about the client and the role, please send your CV to us today!Apply for this role
